When Her Birthday Comes

My second baby girl is almost 8 months old. Yes, she is that old now. Not long ago two of my close friends threw a baby shower party for me. I did not have any plans of having such party for you know, when you are pregnant, you feel heavy and tired all the time. Luckily, these two friends of mine thought so much about me. They were the ones responsible giving out baby shower invitations in my behalf, cooked foods for the party, brought color pink balloons, made me a diaper cake and took care of listing down all the baby shower gifts from generous people. I felt loved and lucky I have them around me. In fact, I did not know I am having a baby shower party. It was a surprise to me. When I got to their house, everybody showed up and I was like, what is this all about? It was indeed a surprised party for me hehe.

The shower party was at the right time because four days after that I gave birth. Who would have thought that the baby decided to come out 2 weeks before the due date. I was glad she did for she did not prolong my agony of carrying my big tummy everyday, thank goodness. Anyway, when she was born, I only did my birth announcements through Facebook for I wasn't prepared for the early labor. Yes, that happened almost 8 months ago. Times fly so quick indeed. In a few months, baby girl number two will be celebrating her first year of life but I have no plan of sending away birthday invitations and would probably celebrate her first birthday at home with just my family.

I don't normally hold a big party whoever celebrates a birthday in this family. I don't know, I am not just ready to be cooking for people at the same time look after my two girls. I just don't have the power to do that. On the other hand, I love attending birthday parties. Yes, I can very well do that but if the party is for me to make and to be held in our house? Nah uh, I am not in favor with the idea. Sounds weird and selfish I know but it's just me.

Our Second Baby Has Arrived

This was the scene at the delivery room at Harris Methodist hospital in Harris Parkway two days ago. I gave birth to a bouncing baby girl. She was delivered normally fortunately.

Will share more photos of our precious little one in the future. For the time being, just be content of looking at the very and only picture I can afford to share right here. Gotta go do some errands as we have an early appointment to the Pediatrician. Have a nice day all!

Sponsor A Child

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of SEO 5 Consulting. All opinions are 100% mine.

Call me crazy but sometimes I can't help but wish I had a lot of money. A lot of money to cater our own needs, my family back home and some to help out those who need food, clothing, shelter and medicine around the globe. Too unfortunate though that I was born a poor and married an average earner husband. On the other hand, I am also lucky, we got a child and we are able to attain our baby's needs and a comfortable house to live.

While we can afford to buy everything we want and we need, others especially children from all over the world are suffering. Therefore, I am asking you people who have soft and kind hearts to please sponsor a child especially those who live in Canada.

Do you know that there are 25,000 children under 5 die because they lack access to things we take for granted such as clean water, sanitation, medicine, and food? We can all help an entire community of children leave poverty by sponsoring one child at a time. Please do it. For just $35 a month, you can make a big difference to someone's young life. Your donation will go directly to programs benefiting children and their families. Please visit the website http://plancanada.ca/Page.aspx?pid=1181 how you can sponsor a child. Thank you!

10 Places NOT to Use Your Debit Card

I just wanna share this helpful information I read on Yahoo for your safety. We all need to be vigilant as to where we should use our debit cards for our protection. I sure know that once your personal information is being exposed then you are prone to be hacked by some criminals and ruin your finances.

My husband and I are debit cards people, almost all our purchases are paid directly from our debit card and guess what? The places we usually spend money on using debit cards are mentioned below. Scary!

Here are 10 places and situations where it can pay to leave that debit card in your wallet:

1. Online

2. Big-Ticket Items

3. Deposit Required

4. Restaurants

5. You're a New Customer

6. Buy Now, Take Delivery Later

7. Recurring Payments

8. Future Travel

9. Gas Stations and Hotels

10.Checkouts or ATMs That Look 'Off'

October Is Breast Cancer Awareness Month

I may be kind of late to say it but let me just go ahead and say that October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. I have only seen on TV about active women walking on the streets to raise awareness about breast cancer. Everyone especially females of any age are most likely affected by this disease so we must be all aware of any early signs of the disease so we can get help right away. If only I could join the campaign and know how to help them, I could have helped them in my little way because I know how devastating it is to know that you or someone in your immediate family has it.

Well, anyway, I can still help through any online donation banks. I am also aware that C'Elle Breasts Cancer Donation is helping women fight through their donation center. Every C'elle kit sold, part of it will go to their donation center.

Cryo-Cell is kind enough to put up Cyro-Cell Breast Cancer Donation center and $50 for each purchase of the “Protect Baby, Protect Mom” service and $25 for each purchase of the “C’elle Menstrual Stem Cell” service is being offered as contributions to the Susan B. Komen Foundation as they participate the Breast Cancer Awareness Month program.

Summer Camps

It would be a good idea if someday Jadyn, our baby can join any fun activities during summer like for example going to Summer Camps nearby. I would love to do this so she will learn to interact with other kids, play responsibly and most of all get to mingle with kids of all ages who join the summer camp. Although she had gained quite a bit of exposure to other kids already but I don't think it is enough for her. Most of the time she is isolated here with me in the house for the fact that I don't drive just yet.

When I have the courage to learn how to drive, I am very sure both me and the baby will be busy for fun activities that we might find interesting to join in. There are several Summer Camps here in our area but Jadyn is perhaps too young to be joining over there. Hopefully though when she grows older by then I will be driving so I can take her to a summer camp. With my husband's inspiration and support, Jadyn the baby will be happy to have found several friends of her age.

By the way, before I end this post let me tell you something that Yovia.com is a perfect website to be when it comes to finding summer camps in your area and find the events that your kids can possibly participate so to keep them busy all summer.

Visit My Little Sister's Blog

An aspiring little kutitap has now entered the blogging world. She is my little sister named Alexia, 9 years old living in the Philippines. She started blogging in February and continuously doing it until now. As a matter of fact, she keeps her blog updated daily.

What makes her blog unique is that, it is solely written by her. Unlike other kiddie blogs, she is the one and real author of her own blog where she puts everything in her thoughts everyday in a kid's life. As young as 9 years old she is able to construct her own english sentences which is very unusual for a filipino kid of her age to write. Although there are some grammatical mistakes in her words but its sure enough understandable to know what she means.

Friends, I would like you to visit her humble home called: Alex, The Little Kutitap blog. I promise you will enjoy staying in her blog by simply reading the little girl's writing! She will appreciate it if you leave your comments there as well.
