Mellow Yellow Monday: Shopping For Spring Flowers

We went to Lowe's yesterday and shopped for Spring flowers to plant in our front flower beds. There were so many varieties of flowers displayed that I couldn't choose which one to buy. What caught me the most are these beautiful yellow flowers, I forgot the name though. They look like roses but they aren't. Yep they were very pretty but I ended up buying pink and purple petunias. These yellow ones right here cost 9 dollars a quart and that is kind of expensive for me so I settled on petunias which is just 1.99 for small 6-pack. 

Mellow Yellow Monday: Spring Is The Season For Mangoes

I bought over a dozen of yellow and ripe mangoes at the Asian Market last weekend because I knew they were very sweet and my girls love them. I did not expect to see boxes of mangoes yet but there they are. Seeing mangoes at the store simply made my day. It's not officially Spring yet (although it feels like it here in Texas already) but mangoes are already available in stores, well... they are from Mexico by the way..

Mellow Yellow Monday : A Pair of Yellow Top and Brown Pants for Less Than $5

I scored these beautiful yellow eyelet halter top for my toddler for $1.49 and a pair of brown pants for $2.00 couple of weeks ago in Goodwill. They are new and very pretty. How awesome it is finding these deals at thrift stores like Goodwill? I took my time digging for great awesome stuff and these are just one of those things I dug! Where else can you find such outfit for less than $5, tell me?

Mellow Yellow Monday: Holding Her Own Bottle

My baby has reached many important milestones in her life at age 6 months. In a few days she will turn 7 months. She is growing big, happy and smiling as ever! At first, I thought she was lazy in her earlier months for she wouldn't hold her bottle. I had to use a bulky cloth just to position or aim the bottle correctly tilted to her mouth so she can suck from it but when she reached 6 months of age, she just held it like a pro. Amazing she did it naturally.

Mellow Yellow Monday: Me Too!

I was taking picture of my little one for her 5 months remembrance when my first born just suddenly appeared saying ME TOO! She was kind of jealous I took picture of her baby sister and inviting her or including her in the photos. Silly big girl. She knows she already have tons of photos but then she forced me to shoot her too.

Mellow Yellow Monday :Round Fruits For New Year

It's a tradition in the Philippines to gather or collect 13 different kinds of round fruits for New Year. This is in the hope of more money coming through out the new year! Cheers to all of us people!

This is what I have on our table, it is actually my first time to do this here in the U.S. My fruits consist of a cantaloupe, grapes, avocado, apple, apple pear, blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, kiwi, mango, tangerine, granada (i forgot the name in english) and pear! Not forgetting my two bottles of sparking red and white grape juice!

Mellow Yellow Monday: My Homemade Pizza

Today's entry for MYM is my cute little homemade pizza. I don't know what the flavor of this pizza because it has all the healthiest ingredients a pizza should have. I put here sliced mushrooms, pineapple, tomato sauce, shredded mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, onions and red bell pepper! I made two but only ate a whole pie because there's so much stuff in it that made me full very quick!

Mellow Yellow Monday : Beautiful Dress Like A Princess

Gosh I so love this dress on the internet. I couldn't take my eyes off it! This would perfectly look good in my soon to be 4 firstborn girl. I am desperate buying this one in time for Christmas and her birthday next month but sadly, it is no longer available in 4T size! However, it is available in their stores but it is kind of far from here. Geeezz!

Filipino Favorite

Odong is a kind of noodles best cooked in oil and sardines in a can. It is one of Filipino's favorite dish to go with rice. In the Philippines, it is not very special dish but for us here abroad who seldom eats this kind of noodles, it would make our day if we can ever taste or cook it here. 

When I had my short trip to my home country last October of this year, I made it sure that I can bring a pack of odong because I crave for it sometimes and it sucks if I won't be able to cook odong simply because it is not available in Asian stores in my area. How about you? Do you like odong if you're a Pinoy/Pinay?

Mellow Yellow Monday:Seoul International Airport Play Area

I love how Seoul International Airport maintained their vicinity. Aside from the fact that it is huge, it is also very clean and entertaining for travelers who have long waits for their next flight. I always loved it whenever I travel going to the Philippines and have a stopover in South Korea for you will never be bored at the airport. 

They have several stores inside which for me is pretty much like a mall, a free wifi connection for those who have their laptops or if they don't, travelers can just go to their wifi zone and have a free use of their computers. And as for the kids? Wow they got the best play area they can ever be. Photos below are proof how clean and nice the area is. You cannot even tell it's in the airport. 

Unlike the Philippines, they collect a freaking and choking travel tax every time you leave their airport yet you won't see any progress there. The airport is small and kind of dirty. They don't even have a toilet paper in some toilets ewwwwww! It's sad to know I am not praising my own country but IT'S THE FACT!

Mellow Yellow Monday: New Play Area

The last time we went to the mall with my first born we were amazed to see the newly constructed and improved play area. Last month, we were there and everything was gone. I was a bit worried what if they won't put the play area back again, where are the kids gonna go? It is the closest place we can go to so my little girl can play so that concerned me a bit but then just two weeks ago they actually moved it a few feet than the original place. I love how it looks now, more colorful, more fun to play with and most of all it's clean since it's new!

Mellow Yellow Monday: Cutie Pie Little Pearl

Yes, I proudly say this is my very own cutie pie little Pearl here. She just looks like her grandpa thank goodness. Her grandpa Morgan was a good looking man and I am glad little Pearl got her looks from him. It's like a reincarnation, we lost someone we dearly love and someone was born two months ago! We are lucky, we have a constant reminder of how her grandpa's face now.

Mellow Yellow #:21 Admire...But Do Not Touch

....... I took this photo of a sign placed on the dashboard of one of the yellow Lamborghinis at the Italian Car Fest in Grapevine saying "ADMIRE... BUT PLEASE DO NOT TOUCH". I can understand the owner for he's got a very nice car there and of course he doesn't want anybody putting dirt, a ding or dent into his valuable property.

Mellow Yellow #: 20 A Box Of Ripe Mangoes

I bought a box of these yellow mangoes last Friday at the Asian Market. It is a bit expensive at 69 cents each but I bought 16 of it just to satisfy my craving. I did not expect I could see these kind of mangoes at all because summer is almost over and I thought mango trees stop producing fruits. But to my surprise, I found boxes after boxes piled up at the usual market we go shop for Filipino stuff. Thank goodness I will have a week of yummy and sweet dessert!

It's been a while I have not submitted my entries to MYM. I am glad I am able to do it today since I am not busy and I got plenty of yellow pictures to post here. Today's MYM entry is "PEACE, LOVE & KISSES/SHOES" in my baby's onesie and DSW gift card. What a coincidence! These two completely different things have the same bold prints in it. This is what the world really need right now and the messages are delivered through clothing and gift cards where people can clearly see it, how awesome.

Mellow Yellow #:17 At The Pediatrician's Office

Jadyn's favorite place to go to is the Pediatrician's office. There she could play their mini playground in the waiting area or look at the beautiful aquarium that has a lot of small and big fish of different colors like yellow, black, green and silver. The place used to be her dreaded place when she was younger because it is where she was being poked with needles every visit. Now the place seemed to become enjoyable to visit as she is able to play with other kids too.

Mellow Yellow Monday #:16 Fast Moving Fan

One night I was bored, I couldn't think of anything to do but stare at the fan in our bedroom and thought if I can capture it beautifully even if it is at level 2. The new camera that my husband gave me for mother's day captured it right. I tried taking pictures of the same fan using the cheap camera I have for two years and it didn't capture good pictures of the fast moving fan at all. Thanks to the husband for the camera upgrade!

Mellow Yellow Monday #:15 Hotdog and Mustard

At first I didn't like the taste of mustard, it taste like chicken dung and really hard to describe. I even wondered why Americans love putting it in their food such as burgers, fries and most of all in hotdogs? I have never tried tasting mustard in my home country but then when I came here in the USA, I see it's popular during grilling or at a burger house.

What I did is to try to taste the mustard bit by bit everytime I eat hotdog and later on I learned to love it. I actually find it interesting, it adds that tangy weird flavor to the meat.
