Recipe to Make Your Own Jewelry Cleaner

I saw this earlier shared in one of my friends' wall and it has a message on it to share so here I am, sharing it here too. Picture used below is not mine, I snagged it on Facebook and I don't own it. Snagged it from Karyn Lynnette Olson on Face Book.

1 tablespoon salt
1 tablespoon baking soda
1 tablespoon dish detergent
1 cup water
1 piece aluminum foil

Directions:
1. Heat water in the microwave for 1 or 2 minutes.
2. Cut a piece of aluminum foil that roughly covers the bottom of a small bowl (like a cereal bowl).
3. Pour hot water into bowl. Place salt, soda, and dish-washing liquid into bowl. Place jewelry on top of foil and let it sit for 5 to 10 minutes. Rinse jewelry in cool water and dry jewelry completely with soft cloth. Discard solution after use and make a new batch next time.
4. According to wire-sculpture.com, "this works well for gold-filled, brass, German (nickel) silver, and sterling silver. I have even cleaned jewelry with freshwater pearls, shell cameos and mother of pearl with no problem.".

Getting Married

I would be happy to hear that my friends who are dear to me could finally find their men they deserve. One of them is already here in the U.S and I guess today is their wedding. I am not sure what time is the wedding as they are in other state. She asked help from me one time looking for titanium rings or tungsten rings wedding bands. There are so many nice wedding rings to choose from and guess what it will be hard for her to choose which one should she buy. If I were to choose for her, I'd like to pick that diamond accents in them in titanium because it is classy, elegant and most of all so beautiful. Well, any wedding rings are beautiful as long as it is given and you are tied to the man you love.

Princess Jewelry

She believes she's a Princess. She truly is our Princess since she was born until now. When you ask her name, she would say I'm Jadyn Princess, oh diba makalingaw?

To really make her feel like one we bought her a fake Princess jewelry set that includes a crown, a wand, a pair of earrings, a ring and a necklace. That made her very very happy only for one day. We know our Jadyn very well, she could play her new toy for one full day and after that she gets tired of it and the next day she wouldn't bother touching or playing with it again. So these poor jewelry of hers are scattered all over the house and some of it are broken into pieces! Good thing the set is only five dollars that doesn't hurt us much watching it fell apart.

My Brother Is Getting Married

Everybody in the family is excited for my brother and his fiancee's big day. As of this moment they are still waiting on the papers needed for the wedding. I am pretty sure they are getting there and they could be wed probably next week. My family have gone to the girl's place in Danao City for "pamanhikan", a Filipino tradition wherein both families face together and talk about the wedding. It is also when the guy ask the girl's hands and blessings from her parents to marry their daughter.

Pretty sure, they are so busy right now looking at possible wedding bands and or
diamond wedding bands. If I were them I would be very anxious choosing which pair should best look in our hands. I hope my brother considered looking at engagement rings and gave Jen one. But it's okay too if she doesn't have one since Filipinos don't normally give their fiancees an engagement ring.

Furthermore, I feel bad about not being able to witness my brother's wedding. My flight is on the 23rd of next month so it's impossible that I can be at his big day. Also, I might not see him when I get there. He just can't wait for his niece to arrive before he would go abroad again. Sigh!
