I Will Never Forget

.....the day I became a US Citizen. September 14,2010 was the very day I never thought America would open its door for me to be equal in all rights, duties and responsibilities in this country.. There were 55 countries and 92 candidates to be naturalized that day including me. It was such an awesome experience for me!

The countries got the most number of candidates were Mexico and India. As for the Philippines, there were only two of us. Can you imagine the number of people who become citizens everyday in all 50 states?

Weird Signs

Below pictures are of my husband and the baby. These were taken outside the USCIS parking lot when we went there 4 weeks ago. My husband wanted his pictures taken by the weird signs probably for remembrance? As you see it, all parking spots with signs in it are vacant. Nobody parked their car in those spots, I wonder why? And why would a government agency put such signs?

Stunts At The Little Gym

Here are photos of our little girl at the little gym assisted by her daddy. We take turns every weekend as to who is going to assist Jadyn inside the gymnasium because I tell you what? It takes a lot of hardwork for our girl to be able to do all the exercises her instructor wants her to do.

Looking at these stunts here, I can't believe she is actually doing it. She is so tiny and tender doing those. But yeah, she needs to do them anyway.

Rain Pouring Heavily

I woke up quite early than my usual waking time. I looked at the clock and it was only 7:44 in the morning. Well, in Texas, at 7 the sun is already up and shining brightly on us but that isn't the case today. There was only very thin light that penetrates into our bedroom drapes. I thought the clock must be mistaken or is giving us incorrect time for it was really dark.

Anyhow, I stood up and went straight to the computer/study room only to find that the world is really dark. We have been having a heavy downpour probably since dawn or who knows maybe last night when we went to bed....and the rain continues pouring until now which give me an idea that there could be a slim chance we gonna get some sun today.

I am not complaining though, I like it when it rains and when it's dark too for a change. Texas has plenty of sunshine so a little bit change of weather is quite amusing.

He in fact stated that he even has or following the Multiple Sclerosis Diet that his doctor ordered him to do. I pity him because I know how it feels to have an illness that cannot be cured. Yes, you can relieve the symptoms but medications won't totally get rid of the disease.

Work In Progress

Social Skill Has Developed

I don't regret sending off our daughter to the Little Gym for it has greatly improved her social skill. I can tell the big difference before and after just 4 weeks of going there. Before, she wouldn't even know how to approach or play with other kids, she tend to be shy and just play alone by herself in one corner. Unlike now, Jadyn would be the one to initiate making friends with other kids her age no matter where she is. In fact, she would come to them and just touch other kids gently wearing her sweetest smile...she is making other kids shy while she waits for them saying hi back so comfortably.

Granite Sinks

I am waiting for that very day when we can finally replace our ancient sink in the kitchen. The sink itself looks awful that no matter how I scrub and clean it, it would still be looking old and gross aside from the fact that its color is yellow. I am looking at granite sinks today and amazing how I fell in love with the products right away. The prices are a little bit costly but at least if we can have the money, we will be able to afford it.

Jackfruit Smell In The Kitchen

I bought a whole jackfruit at the Asian Market last Saturday. It was so tempting that I couldn't help but buy me one. But then when we got home I realized I have too much for myself even though the one I got is the smallest size in the store still it's too big for me to eat alone. So I invited friends over to help me out with this one. For sure they are excited about my jackfruit for I know they love it too. My Favorite Infomercial

First off, I am not the kind of person who usually watches any infomercials.

But, one afternoon after I'd switched to a satellite dish from directtv I got to see one of the most fun and informative infomercials around, which has become my favorite infomercial ever!

There was this gadget being demonstrated by this guy with a really nice British accent.

I thought, "This looks like a cute little gizmo.".

I'm not sure if I can actually mention the product, but, let's just say it works like "Magic" and is shaped like a big "Bullet"!

The people they have in their infomercials are people I feel I can relate to; they're not "zombie-like" actors who only repeat the same phrases over and over, they have a positive personality that works well with the British Pitchman they've gotten to demonstrate the best little blender/chopper/mixer I've ever had the pleasure of using!

When I sat down to watch "The Magic Bullet Show" (my favorite infomercial), I was able to see the great things it can do! I literally got to see Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and afternoon snacks being made inside of a half an hour! I never would have imagined that!

I always enjoy watching my favorite infomercial because I can't wait to see the new products they have to go with it!

Shitty Attitude

The whole day yesterday I had a very calm,quiet, peaceful mind and most of all happy. day It was like that for one full day until the last hour before I go to bed. I was online and all of the sudden this girl I know so much popped up in my window calling me "HOY". Being called like that I felt disrespected for it was not the first time she called me that when she wants to chat with me on YM. Every time she clicks on my name her greeting would be like that.

The other night she clicked on me with the same message..then I replied to her . Then she got silent for a couple of minutes, I then asked her if she was still there...she then replied saying ...pasted below is the actual copy of our chat the previous night..

Need A New Kitchen Sink

We need a total kitchen makeover not just our Kitchen Sink but the whole area itself because it is too inconvenient for us especially the cabinets. We put all our pans in a drawer which everytime we use them, we have to bend over and dig inside so we can see the one we want to use. The cabinets got some stains on them, the ones above the stove have thick grease from frying foods and the color has changed over the years.

So for that, when we receive the money that my husband inherited from his father, we plan of spending it all in the house. For the time being, I just have to be contented of looking at Kitchen Sinks online to look for a model that could fit in our kitchen.

Protect Your Hands

I used to have very rough hands, covered with thick callouses just because I did most things around the house with my bare hands and take note, I did not even care wearing a pair of work gloves. Back then, I didn't know I have rough hands until Sandy came along. We held hands and I noticed his, being a man were soft while I, on the other hand had a pair of hands like that of a construction worker. It took me a while before I could say my hands were softer, I used lotion a lot and most of all I didn't have the need to work with things manually because everything here in America is easy and with the use of electricity.

God knows how I tried to hold my tears the whole time I was there. I didn't want anybody to see me being so emotional. Bridal Reality Never Looked so Good

After spending a year planning my wedding I have become a fan of bride reality shows. My favorite to date is Bridezillas. The brides on this show takes wedding demands to a completely different level. There is one episode that I remember the most. One bride ordered a vanilla wedding cake from a local bakery. She then changes her mind and decided on chocolate. The bakery accommodated her change and worked for ten hours baking a beautiful three tiered wedding cake. When the bride came to taste a sample of her cake she decided she no longer wanted chocolate and began to yell and scream at her cake consultant. Though I thought that was completely obnoxious what she did next left me speechless. In a screaming rage she slammed her hand down into the cake saying she wanted vanilla and stormed out of the bakery.

I had never seen anything like that before and was oddly pulled in to watch more. I love bridezillas because you never know what to expect next from a stressed out bride. I searched on her first name and it showed a result, I then sent her a private message saying if she is the girl I used to laughed and hangout with in college, please respond. To my surprise, she responded right away and now we are back in contact with her. How lucky I am???

Silly!

I thought it was a thug driving this pick up truck with big wheels, for they are the only ones who do that but no, it was a white guy and an Air Force lolz. My husband finds it silly seeing trucks like this. Why would they spend so much on the tires just to show off how cool they are? We are waiting on the Will execution for we simply want to appreciate what my FIL left for us but for some reason, the brother who is the trustee seemed to forget us while he on the other hand enjoying his part. It has been almost three months since FIL passed away yet we haven't heard anything about the Will. I asked my husband if he can write the Austin Will Lawyer that his brother is hiring because maybe..just maybe he knows something about the date or the time as to when is it gonna be executed.

Wherever I go I could see signs or banners from people who want to promote their products along the roads this include garage sale signs, for sale/rent signs and many others. I notice that other people are putting out advertisement that is so poorly done. I would have not remembered watching one of my favorite boy bands' music videos entitled "Summer Girls" if I didn't read on the news about Rich Cronin's passing last night. Watching the video brings back good old memories way back in high school. Watching music videos like theirs somehow gave me encouragement to find me a better man someday for they looked so good and I was already very much attracted with Americans back then. Weeewww my favorite LFO member was Brad Fischetti for he was so dashingly handsome to my eyes.

We do believe we have too much furniture in this house since all of my late father inlaw's furniture are with us but to our surprise, a decent set of Dining Room Chairs are lacking. How could that be? I don't know what happened to his dining table and chairs in California for I don't see anything in the storage until we took them all out there. Although we have our own dining room chairs but we need a second set for it to put in our dining area eventually when we cleared up this room full of boxes and stuff.

Rich Cronin of LFO Died

It's so shocking to know that one of my favorite boy band members of LFO before Rich Cronin died of leukemia at age 35. So young, so soon to die! Anyone out there who is familiar of LFO boy band? I used to watch these guys on Mtv before..a lot..as in a lot..every time I come home from school in the afternoon I hurriedly turn on our t.v hoping I could see music videos from these guys.

I idolized them because I thought they were so cool, so good looking and very good singers! Now saying a prayer for you my idol! May you rest in peace and God open up the doors of heaven for you! Goodbye!

Rich Cronin of '90s boy band LFO died on Wednesday at age 35, CNN confirms. He passed away in a Massachusetts hospital, according to bandmate Brad Fischetti. Cronin, who wrote and sang the number one smash "Summer Girls," was diagnosed with leukemia in 2005; despite chemotherapy, the disease returned in 2007 and 2008.

Fish Recipes

Nothing is more rewarding than having these mouth-watering Filipino dishes. I love fish a lot. I grew up surrounded by bodies of water and in our place, fish of any kinds were abundant. I wouldn't replace it for a steak.

So speaking of fish, here's what we had this morning. I actually cooked these yesterday and decided to leave some for today. The fried fish is the mackerel which my girl loves so much and the second photo is of my tinolang bangus or boiled milkfish with all the spices and lemon grass to make it more delectable to the mouth.

........these are the kind of foods that could totally ruin my diet, but even so...I still eat them paired with rice...I just have to learn to discipline myself of not eating too much of this when it's late so I could reach my goal of getting rid my unwanted belly fats.

7 Tornadoes

Thanks to the fast pace technology America has for it makes everything easy and possible. Detecting a tornado alone, I am amazed at how they inform the community if there is a tornado or a hurricane coming. Through them we were able to see 7 tornadoes touched down near downtown Dallas yesterday. We saw how the thick clouds formed into a twister, get intensified and break down again and move on to another place.

I was able to compare how behind my own country is than America. If it was in the Philippines, we would have not known or seen those twisters captured in camera live on tv. Ah, aren't I lucky to be in America? I have all the privileges a person wants in his or her life.

Straight Teeth

Why is it that people who have nice and straight teeth seem to look attractive? When one smiles at me and I see his nice teeth I would get jealous right away. Fruits For Breakfast

I don't have much trust about feeding my girl just fruits for breakfast but according to other people it is good so be it. I am used to feeding her rice but she has difficulty defecating so fruits in the morning will be a big change in her diet.

With fruits Jadyn has no problem eating it. Unlike rice and other stuff I give her, she would only eat 3 teaspoonful of it and she's done. Why is this baby so picky? She has all the foods in the world she can eat but the problem is she doesn't much have appetite eating them.

..... every other morning I give her fruits..on her plate shown in the photos are watermelons which is her favorite, slices of bananas, grapes and strawberries...

Visited My Late FIL's Girlfriend

I am glad we were able to make it to San Antonio last Friday. There was only one reason why we drove for 5 hours there, just to visit Jean...as you know she is my father-inlaw's girlfriend. Event hough he is no longer around, we still consider Jean as part of the family since she is the last person whom he wanted to marry before he got very ill.

I think Jean was very delighted we came down visited here for she has no one to see her. Her sons are in California and for that we are honored to be in Texas and continues to see this lonely old woman in the future.

She Embarrassed Us

Jadyn loves holding food in her mouth. No matter how hard we try to let her swallow the food but once she decides she just holds it then nothing we can do. We went to her little gym this morning and in the car she was already holding foods. When we arrived I tried to let her spit it out but she wouldn't do it, we just went inside anyway as we were already a minute late.

So we joined the group and started walking when she out of the blue blew the food out with some nuts and saliva mixture in it. It was very embarrassing really. The people in the gym thought Jadyn was sick but no she was not, she just had some food in the mouth that she could no longer hold and puke. That was gross. I make sure it won't happen again as I see to it there'll be nothing in her mouth when she goes to the Little Gym.

That Much Needed Rain

It's raining and there's thunder and lightning since last night and I consider it to be a blessing. We needed rain badly for the past couple of months and now it's here. We feel a little bit cooler now. In fact, I got the front door open, just using the screen door so I can let the fresh air in and to also listen to the raindrops pouring angrily on the roof.

It's a little change of our climate and I am so loving it. It's refreshing to see the ground so wet, plants have enough plenty of water to drink and most of all no dust. I hope the rain continues to pour in two hours and stops only when we are about to hit the road this afternoon when my husband arrives home from work.

Sharing Popsicle With Her Dog

If Jadyn shared her popsicle to other dogs then it would be so gross but since it was Chichai she shared it with then it's probably fine because we know what our dog is eating and she doesn't go anywhere except in our backyard. Just the idea of she is an inside dog, that should give us an assurance that she is a clean dog.
