I Feel Bad

I feel bad for my husband was late at his off-duty job at the bank. I was at the store, taking my time and not thinking that he had to leave in the house at 12:30. I got home at 12:46. While at CVS, I was really taking my time going back and forth aisle after aisle, looking at my coupons, thinking a lot on what sort of deals should I avail. I ended up spending a good two hours in that store alone plus the time it took me to drive back home. Poor husband, he was late.

He called me twice on the phone and texted once. I didn't see all of them until I got home. I feel really guilty now. He told me last night that he has a bank duty today but I didn't think he would go because he feels sick, yet he went. That completely forgotten in my mind while I did my couponing. I am just gonna make up for him this weekend...

Who Is Going To Clean The House?

Who is going to clean the house? That you think is a very dumb question. Of course no one else can clean the house in every household except the MOTHERS! It has been four days now since I have this allergy and I feel like it is not going away soon.

I feel miserable, my nostrils are like being tickled with a cat's tail, I have scratchy throat that once I start coughing it wouldn't stop, clear light fluid keeps dripping from my nose and oh not to mention, I have headache too.

Who is going to clean the house? I guess no one else could but ME. I don't have the stamina to do that right now while the baby is asleep but the thing is, I just don't feel like doing it either.

Juggling Like A Clown

These past days I have been so busy and still is. I am like a clown juggling four balls at a time. Imagine how that is if you were to do that. I am involved in a small business on Facebook that I think is so fun and addictive to do. It is a group where Filipinas sell and buy stuff to/from other Filipinas at a low price. Not only I am busy with that but I also have household chores to mind, two girls to look after and care for plus blogging opportunities.

How did I get myself get into this? I promise after I sell all my stuff, I will take a break for a while because I feel so stressed while it is still going on. I get little or no nap anymore, lol. Selling clothes that I no longer want is fun but I also lost some money on it because of the shipping. I don't have a weighing scale so all I do is charge the buyers for less than it actually cost me at the post office. But that is alright, I love my buyers and I am having fun with it at the same time stressed, lol!

I haven't been able to do my EC dropping, sorry my frequent Entrecarders... I am going to make it to you when I am no longer busy. Just keep dropping you all...

Busy And Productive Day

Huh! That was such a busy and productive Monday for the mommy in this house. I wasn't planning of doing those things today but for some reason I felt like doing them. I've been meaning to clean the bathrooms but I didn't set the time and day as to when I was going to clean them. But today, I didn't feel lazy at all.

First off, I cleaned the kitchen appliances ( duh just the outer part of the refrigerator, cleaned the inside of the microwave) wiped thoroughly the countertops and cabinet doors and sink. After the kitchen I went to the bathroom adjacent to Jadyn's room. Took me a good 30 minutes to clean the whole area. The baby was getting whiny but I proceeded to the master's bathroom anyway.

While I was working fast, the baby cried louder and louder which got me irritated so much. The only thing I didn't do was my husband's side of sink, I don't worry I didn't clean it though for he is not using that sink so  there's not much to do in their, just maybe some dust but I could easily wipe it tomorrow. So two of our bathrooms are squeaky clean now, toilet bowls are white and sparkling, floors are swept and mirrors are clear.

An hour after that, I went to enjoy the cool temperature outside by watering my two big plant beds in the front yard which took me an hour to do the thing. My job didn't end there. After watering, I had to feed my two girls and myself as well. Ye's I've done so much today which I rarely do. No wonder I feel a bit exhausted right now. Life of a housewife and a mother. My chores seem endless!

The Usual Family Time

Here are a few shots of the usual family time. We don't go out so often, we are kind of a home-buddy family so more often than not, you will find us doing the internet together or have a marshmallow roasting party at our backyard. Sounds boring? Not for me, I do enjoy being with my family rather than being in a loud party consisting of different people with different personalities. How about you guys, what do you and your family love doing together?

...photo above is the usual set up in the backyard in the afternoon... in fact, my big girl and her dada already started the mallow roasting party and I am about to join them in a minute.

I Am A Super Woman!

I can best describe myself as a super woman. You know why? You, people out there especially the husbands don't ever think your wives have an easy life staying at home because the fact is, we don't. Firstly, if you go to work, you only have to deal with your job 8 to 10 hours everyday for five days while stay home wives especially the mothers, we work full-time 24/7 with no break. Even at night time we'll have to get up just to attend our baby's needs.

Speaking of being a super woman, I think I just turned into one this morning. Wow what a crazy morning I had to start my Friday. As soon as I got up from the bed, I fed my little Megan and put her to sleep, changed her crib bedding, washed her clothes. And while waiting for the laundry, I did the second bathroom. When I was done in the bathroom, I swept the t.v.,living room and kitchen floors. Vacuumed the rugs afterwards, had to take a break (went outside to bring my Jadyn inside and bathed her real quick). I was panting and thirsty (while taking a break I sat on my computer uploading videos on Youtube and doing the Facebook). After I did all those things the surroundings looked organized and a bit clean then the husband came out from his study and uttered "look nice!". I knew exactly what he meant by that. That is only the word from his mouth that made me feel appreciated, thanks to him he noticed my hard work.

He went to the kitchen carrying our little Megan and then asked, "but where is the breakfast?", huh you kidding me? He didn't realize how busy I was and now he's asking me that? Okay, I replied to him, "I'm not there yet but I'll do it as soon as I can!". And so I started cooking our breakfast (I cooked bacon, fried eggs with tomatoes and onions, toasted some bread). While the bacon is cooking, I managed to do a second load of my laundry then went back to the kitchen to check on the bacon as well as shredding some junk mails. When I was done with my cooking, breakfast is served. Family is happy.

Now, do you believe if I tell you I fed my hungry family and did all the chores in just 2 and a half hours? Oh well, I am not quite done yet for I still have to bathe Megan and fold the clothes! Dang!

MEN, if you were to put yourselves in your wife's shoes, you will know there is not a single LAZY bone in her so don't ever sulk if your wife is not working while you were out there and bringing in checks for the family for we work more than you do!

One Of The Advantages Of Staying Home

One of the advantages of being a stay-at-home mom and wife is that I get to feed my family home cooked fresh meals. I make sure I offer my husband freshly cooked breakfast on his days off and that is the least I could do for him. I don't normally make his dinner, and giving him freshly cooked breakfast/brunch makes me happy.

For instance, I cooked chicken afritada this morning for the whole family and was able to give him that smoking hot meal straight from our kitchen. This is something other working wives cannot do for they are busy and must hurry to go out the house for work. Besides cooking, I also get to spend time with family and kid/s. Watch them grow and most all there will never be times I am separated with them for I am always in the house willing to assist or give them help when they need me. Whenever the husband comes home, there I am always ready to give him a kiss and a hug!

Happy Family

"Happy" -- the only right word I can describe my family. We live our lives with love and appreciative of the things we have. Even the big Princess, Jadyn feels it. She often say, I'm happy right here mommy, daddy! Thank God for the gift of family, they fill the void in my heart and they complete me. There is one coming that will add to our happiness, I am anxious for the very day.

We are truly happy- that's how we are and that is obvious. I cannot trade my family with anything in this world for without them I won't be whole again. We don't need those luxurious things in the world or have lots of money to be happy, just by being together that's what makes us happy.

One weekend, the happy family went to visit a beautiful garden perfect for the little kid run around and chase birds, for the mommy to breathe some air and for the daddy to have an exercise!

Vomiting And Diarrhea

I woke up in the middle of the night last night because I heard my husband was in the other bathroom throwing up a lot. It happened twice and I was wondering if he got sick due to the old corn he ate just before he went to bed? I asked him this morning what's going on with him, he told me that yeah, he is indeed sick but not because of the corn but probably because of the old pork meat that's been sitting in the refrigerator for so long.

He called in sick at work. I know he feels bad about it because he is not the type that would just call in sick. He feels weak he said so he did what he needed to do. If it was just a minor sickness, then it would be okay to go ahead and go to work. I feel sorry for him. Now he's in bed. I brought him rice porridge there and a capsule for his diarrhea, I hope he would eat it and take the medicine for I know he has nothing in his stomach right now.

Typical Weekend

Ever wonder how we most spend our last day of our weekend here? Here's how it looks like, it's either we are out for grocery shopping, sending off Jadyn to the little gym, doing some house chores and most of all, the husband do his yard of course with his girl riding in a zero-turn mower of ours.

Whenever the daddy mows his yard and Jadyn hears the sound of the mower's engine running, rest assured that she'd like to go out too and ride with her daddy. It's just a simple gesture of my family that makes me happy deep inside for it creates solid bonding for both of them.

Beautiful Picture of My Family

Our life is simple but what makes it grand is that we both raise our daughter with love and joy. My husband is such a great dad that he is always there showing his all out support when it comes to his daughter.

He also loves to play with her when he's not busy or just spend quality time with Jadyn when he can. I love how he loves our daughter, I like how he is taking care of the family and for that I feel blessed!

<------ was taken at the small playground in the Freedom House in San Antonio, Texas... this is the place we used to go often to visit my father-inlaw.

First Time In History

Of over four years of living with my husband, it's the first time of him coming home for lunch while at work. I thought it was strange of him to do that. He usually just eat out and never will he spend an hour at home during work days.

Before he left back to his class this mid day, we had a little chit chat talking how strange it is of him eating lunch here at the house. I said to him, I know why you came home today because you miss your wife and baby? He then replied "yes". Of course I didn't believe that and I uttered, CHAR, DRAMA! Well, him saying yes, he missed us send a shock right through my veins. I am kind of flattered too for he didn't hesitate to answer my question. And I must say, he answered it right lolz.

A Fine Morning

I got up and the smell of cooked bacon and fried eggs greeted me. I went to the kitchen right away and there it was, sitting on the stove top waiting on me. It was my husband's cooking this morning. What a wonderful thing to have perfect to pair it with my hot chocolate milk drink, the bagel what makes the breakfast awesome. I am supposed to cook for my husband since it's day off but it goes the other way around this time hehe. Spoiled wife. He may not know it but I so appreciate his simple gesture he did for his family.

Lazy Afternoon

We started our day kind of late so we ate our lunch late too. I cooked my family water spinach adobo or in our native tongue, adobong kangkong. I got a whole bunch of spinach to separate the leaves and the stems that took me half an hour to prepare the thing then another half an hour to cook it. We finally had our lunch ready by 1. It was so delicious and tasty, the husband ate all of the food in his bowl that makes me feel good for he ate filipino food and of course, rice today.

Since we are fed, the husband is off to bed so does the baby and I? Am getting sleepy and will hit the bed as soon as I post this one too. It's the last day of my husband's day off so it is just right to be lazy as we were very busy and active yesterday.

Busy Day

It could have been an easy day for me if I chose to stay at home today but instead I went with my husband to run some errands. We accomplished quite some things today like dropping off the small refrigerator to the service shop, went to the store that specializes in selling Police and other uniforms and got him two pairs of uniforms, got me a black t-shirt too with FT. WORTH POLICE OFFICER print on it (I bought one because I thought it would be so cool to wear it), from there we headed directly to the barbershop and had his hair cut.

We went home, took a nap, after an hour woke up and went to the kitchen, ate, baked some peanut and cheese bread, clean the kitchen sink and finally marinated the meat for grilling later. So that was how we spent our Friday. How about you guys? Any accomplishments for today?

In The Kitchen For 2 Days

So what's up with our kitchen lately? I mean it's so strange of me to stay in the kitchen for 2 consecutive days. I mean literally I spent whole days in that part of the house, but why? Well, the story is this, it's been a long long time since our last visit to the Asian Market and finally my husband brought me over there last Friday. As I felt like I've been deprived of native filipino food, I got as much stuff I could find at the market so I can have a taste of my desired pinoy food again. We spent $75 just for my stuff alone... kind of ouch knowing that prices in that market are way too low compared at American stores.

Then Saturday and Sunday came, I started cooking pinakbet for our breakfast, made lumpia as soon as I finished feeding my family then unpacking some of the dishes that we have that lasted for hours as I put them in the washer at the same time cleaning the counter tops.

Sunday followed which is today, I started at 11 again IN THE KITCHEN to cook breakfast. I came up with oatmeal, fried egg and two egg rolls for my husband and I made myself some ginisang pusit that is enough for the entire 3 meals of the day. Afterwards, I sat down on my computer for half an hour, walked the baby outisde real quick, put her to bed and back to the kitchen again putting up cabinet liners(not even through yet, had to stop) and started wrapping my banana with lumpia wrapper, cooked some of it for our afternoon snack and finished off the unpacking of the dishes and put them in the washer again. And when I'm done with the dishes I also rearranged some stuff inside the cabinet that took forever to finish.

I tell you what? I am too exhausted now and the kitchen is still a mess. Good thing though I've no boss around(mama) to demand me what to do so I can just leave it as it is for now. Surely my husband will understand that I am tired and won't mind the mess I leave behind.
