I Feel Bad

I feel bad for my husband was late at his off-duty job at the bank. I was at the store, taking my time and not thinking that he had to leave in the house at 12:30. I got home at 12:46. While at CVS, I was really taking my time going back and forth aisle after aisle, looking at my coupons, thinking a lot on what sort of deals should I avail. I ended up spending a good two hours in that store alone plus the time it took me to drive back home. Poor husband, he was late.

He called me twice on the phone and texted once. I didn't see all of them until I got home. I feel really guilty now. He told me last night that he has a bank duty today but I didn't think he would go because he feels sick, yet he went. That completely forgotten in my mind while I did my couponing. I am just gonna make up for him this weekend...

Broken Ice Sheets

This is by far the coldest winter I have experienced of my over seven years here in Texas. Amazingly thick sheets of ice last for a week now and there is no sign of them thawing. Yeah, they may have thawed a little bit but they keep refreezing at night and into early dawn.

I have seen amazing videos of fallen ice from the buildings' roof and yesterday, my husband witnessed the event in his very own back porch. Photo above I just took minutes ago, proof that global warming isn't true. If it is, why all these ice around us?

I am Feeling Miserable

Sickness started last Friday morning with my first born. When she woke up in the morning she complained about being sick and didn't want to go to school but I insisted that she should go, no reason for her to be absent. But then when she came home in the afternoon on that same day, she was shivering and complaining that she is very cold even though she has her hat, coat and gloves on.

My husband said that we should listen to our child more next time because she truly was sick until now. She sneezed a lot and was running a fever. Thankfully, she is done with fever though the cough still lingers. I, on the other hand caught her virus. I have a fever, feeling body aches and pains and hoarse throat. I don't want to be sick, I hate the feeling of being sick. Besides, I have two kids to take care of and yes, even if I am sick I still can't get my day off.

I feel so miserable right now! Good thing I don't have to go out and there is no school for the whole week due to Thanksgiving! It is also very nasty outside, raining, wet and oh so bitter cold. Better stay in if I don't have business outside.

Social Share Buttons are Up, Finally!

I spent almost an hour trying to install the social share buttons for this blog. A few of my fellow hoppers complained about not seeing my share buttons below my blog post yesterday so I had to fix it... and just when I thought I had fixed it, I joined the social share thread on FB and then I hear the same complain again this morning. Could it be that they use a different browser than mine? I use Google Chrome as always but there seemed to be no problem on my end.

Anyway, to end the misery of not seeing my share buttons, I had to look for another code or site that offers easy instruction for installation. At last! Found it and didn't take me long to install the said buttons. Earlier, I almost lost my patience because the more I screw the HTML code of this blog, the more I messed up. Good thing my baby here is doing her thing and didn't bother me much.

I believe I have installed the necessary buttons correctly so it is good to go....

I Wish I Can Volunteer

I recently joined a forum called "neighborhood" exclusively to connect, get to know our neighbors, do stuff and others. I find it very interesting and helpful for they got everything there including announcements of the latest activities one can participate for the betterment of his community.

One they posted that I am so interested to join is the litter clean up coming two weeks from now. I so want to participate but knowing I got two children, house chores and other motherly obligations is keeping me from doing it. At least by joining the team, I can be of use of the community I belong. Maybe someday I will be able to do what I wanted to do with no excuses. For now, I can exempt myself for it for I have a valid excuse.

She is Teasing Me

You might wonder what this girl is doing up there? I told her once, the higher she goes the ticklish it is in my sole and so she wanted to climb as high as she could. Such a teaser she is. If she fall down, it's her fault. I never want her doing that but then if teasing me is her happiness, then let it be... as long as she doesn't come to me crying because she got a booboo! Silly girl!

We Had A White Christmas

Texas doesn't always get snow and when we do, we sure appreciate it! North Texas was blessed with a snow as we celebrated the birth of Jesus yesterday. The excitement didn't just end after opening all the presents that Santa gave to my kids but in the afternoon, snowflakes started falling and accumulated fast enough that enabled me and my girls to enjoy the snow before dark.

I love having two girls because I now have partners to be out in the snow and not afraid somebody might see me being weird playing with snow. My Jadyn spent more time than I did outside and played alone. The first time she went to the backyard and got herself busy by creating a big snowball. I watched her by the bedroom window and just amazed how this little kid could contain herself out there, alone. Reminds me of myself during my first time to experience the snow...

Photos below.

The Only Present I Opened

This is the only present that was for me under the tree, the only present I opened yesterday from my manita on Facebook/Yardsale group. Thanks to her. I love it, the flavor scent is SUCH A FLIRT my second favorite scent for in a lotion or mist of Victoria's Secret.

Receiving a present like this just makes me feel remembered although I got one major present from my husband days before Christmas but there is something with a surprised and wrapped present that made me excited to open.

How about you guys, did you receive a lot of presents from your personal Santa yesterday? What sort of presents did you get?

Two Weeks Holiday Break

Thank goodness I will be able to sleep in longer for two whole weeks due to Jadyn's school break starting next week until January six next year. Hopefully,  I get the sleep and rest I need for I don't have to rush every morning trying to send my girl to school on time.

A two-week long break from class might not be enough for me but at least I am getting it. Better than not having any break at all so I guess I just be thankful and not complain. Besides, it is the time when the temperatures can get very cold and icy. The idea of me not needing to drive early morning on icy roads somehow gives me peace of mind and at ease.

Our New Friend Put-put

I bought this very cute ipod case two weeks ago and the first time my Jadyn saw it, she uttered it is very cute  and wanted to play with it. I told her no, it is not a toy and it is not for her. Because it is now part of this household, I had to come up with a name for it, and I named it "Put-put" which Jadyn call it "Puto". Hey it's not Puto, I said Put-put! Dyaga dyaga ning bataa!

I just thought it was cute in pink and most of all it looks even more cuter when my Jadyn's hands are using it. Pink for little girls is the best, don't cha think? There is one coming for my new toy and this time it's Hello Kitty and it is PINK... let's see kinsa napud di maibog sa ako Kitty.

My Girls are My World

My girls... they are equally beautiful in my eyes. They are from my own flesh and blood, therefore, I love them with all my heart.

I try to dress them the same clothing as much as I can so they feel fair and equal. I hope they appreciate that and they know mommy and daddy love them both very much. Having these girls in my life make me the proudest although at times I feel overwhelmed of having to do the chores and at the same time look after them all by myself but I guess, I wouldn't trade my life for anything. I love it exactly as it is. My girls are my world and so does my husband. They are my family and for me, they so precious that without them, I don't know where I find myself.

So Serious Are The Girls

I took this photo of my girls last night watching a kiddie show on qubo. I thought they looked so serious in this shot.

I was just lucky they weren't bothered of me taking pictures of them. I love it when they are together in one place and not fighting or hitting each other, instead getting along well watching their favorite show.

If the girls are happy, mommy is happy too!

Just Messy!

This is a bedroom of my first born, for weeks it looked like this and I just cleaned it up this afternoon. I hope it stays neat for at least a few days. I doubt it will happen for I know my girls, they like making a mess! I don't pick up toys in this bedroom often because I got a lot of things to do around here, my life has been so pretty busy and picking up toys isn't my utmost priority.

For sure a few of mommies out there do pick up and follow their kids' mess when they go to bed at night but not me. Big no no for me, what's the sense of picking them up while in the morning first thing they do is play and make even more mess. As you can see, this room is like a tornado has wrecked havoc in her room.

Who Is Going To Clean The House?

Who is going to clean the house? That you think is a very dumb question. Of course no one else can clean the house in every household except the MOTHERS! It has been four days now since I have this allergy and I feel like it is not going away soon.

I feel miserable, my nostrils are like being tickled with a cat's tail, I have scratchy throat that once I start coughing it wouldn't stop, clear light fluid keeps dripping from my nose and oh not to mention, I have headache too.

Who is going to clean the house? I guess no one else could but ME. I don't have the stamina to do that right now while the baby is asleep but the thing is, I just don't feel like doing it either.

Mommy And Baby Matching Outfit

Excuse the mess in the picture. Just focus your eyes on the matching outfit that mommy and her big girl last weekend. I'm like having my twin sister, dressed up the same so there'll be no jealousy between siblings, lol. It just happens that we do have the same color tops and pedals available in our closet and I chose to put on clothes on Jadyn so we could go out together in the same outfit. Pretty cool!

My Future Olympian

There was this t.v commercial that was so popular during the Olympic games. It was being played several times a day and watched it every time it came on. This ad was about little kids doing weird, difficult stunts and actions in their own homes, it shows these small kids were breaking stuff and making a mess anywhere in  the house, the kitchen, bedrooms, living room etc. and mothers don't mind what they do for it leads them to become future professional sports enthusiasts. Such a great advertisement really. It was a bounty paper towel commercial to be exact.

Photos attached below show my little Megan how flexible she is at age 14 months. I thought she looked so cute and took a snap of her doing the action. In my mind, I say she could be my future Olympian haha... I wish!

Paloma Sanborn's Baby Dress

Such a great remembrance left by Paloma for her dad is an old baby dress that I intend to keep. This dress pictured below worn by our baby Sekong is at least maybe 14 years old, haha yes it is that antique now. I found it along with three other baby dresses in one of the bags stored in the garage at our old rental home 3 years ago. I was the one who did most of unpacking and I found these baby clothing of my husband's oldest daughter.

It is interesting to know that despite of the long decades have passed we still got these clothes and some toys that my husband didn't know he had for years. Two of my girls are playing those toys today. I told them that it's their oldest sister's toys and because they don't know the value of these toys, they just ignored what I said.

It's Only 7 PM And I'm Ready For Bed

Shocks! The sun is still up and it' just past seven pm as of writing this entry yet I feel like I can no longer stay up. I woke up at five this morning and hadn't taken any nap the entire day. As you may all know, it is my first born's first day of class in Pre-K. I am one first time mommy that sends her kid to school everyday driving back and  forth four times a day, seven days a week.

I am telling myself that I can do it with an open heart. It's for my own kid. There is no one else to wake up so early in the morning to prepare her to school, cook breakfast and lunch but me. I just pray that everyday is a good day for me to be driving.

First day of school today was quite nerve-wracking for me. It was my first time driving in the rain, I couldn't see anything in both sides of my mirror plus had to drive in the freeway. Shocks was my drama but thank God, I was able to handle the new learning experience for me as a driver. Take note, I have only been driving for four months as a licensed driver so you can only understand I am not quite confident driving in such a harsh weather.

Simple And Important Health Tips We Should Remember

I got this on Facebook shared on one of my friend's wall. I thought of sharing it here too so my fellow bloggers who are not in my list can read it too. These are just simple tips yet we often neglect to do. My husband loves going to bed  at night right after eating his late big dinner. I told him that let his intestines digest  the foods he ate for a while and he won't listen. I guess I will send it to him so he can read it too.
