Recipe to Make Your Own Jewelry Cleaner

I saw this earlier shared in one of my friends' wall and it has a message on it to share so here I am, sharing it here too. Picture used below is not mine, I snagged it on Facebook and I don't own it. Snagged it from Karyn Lynnette Olson on Face Book.

1 tablespoon salt
1 tablespoon baking soda
1 tablespoon dish detergent
1 cup water
1 piece aluminum foil

Directions:
1. Heat water in the microwave for 1 or 2 minutes.
2. Cut a piece of aluminum foil that roughly covers the bottom of a small bowl (like a cereal bowl).
3. Pour hot water into bowl. Place salt, soda, and dish-washing liquid into bowl. Place jewelry on top of foil and let it sit for 5 to 10 minutes. Rinse jewelry in cool water and dry jewelry completely with soft cloth. Discard solution after use and make a new batch next time.
4. According to wire-sculpture.com, "this works well for gold-filled, brass, German (nickel) silver, and sterling silver. I have even cleaned jewelry with freshwater pearls, shell cameos and mother of pearl with no problem.".

Something You Need to Know About Egg White for Burns

Air Purifying House Plants

I saw this on Facebook being shared by a lot of people for information. I thought of sharing it here too so you all will know. I am lucky for I have one of those air purifying house plants shown in the picture below. I got the number two plant called Snake Plant not just one pot but four of them. I am just happy I don't have to be looking around for it for it already is in our home.

For Your Information

I hardly drink water. I only drink water if my body wants it real bad. Since it's summer I try to drink as much water every hour to come up with the total of 8 glasses a day. I started this journey yesterday and was able to drink that many glasses of water at the end of the day. I felt drowned, lol but I know this is for my own good and eventually perhaps I will get used to it. Drinking a lot of water makes me do frequent trips to the bathroom!

Jury Duty Scam

Pass this on to your grown children and anyone else you can think of. This is said to have been verified by the FBI (their link is also included below). Please pass this on to everyone in your email address book.

It is spreading fast so be prepared should you get this call. Most of us take those summonses for jury duty seriously, but enough people skip out on their civic duty that a new and ominous kind of fraud has surfaced.

. . . The caller claims to be a JURY DUTY coordinator. If you protest that you never received a summons for jury duty, the Scammer asks you for your Social Security number and date of birth so he or she can verify the information and cancel the arrest warrant. Give out any of this information and bingo: your identity was just stolen.

The fraud has been reported so far in 11 states, including Oklahoma , Illinois , and Colorado , AZ and more. This (swindle) is particularly insidious because they use intimidation over the phone to try to bully people into giving information by pretending they are with the court system.

The FBI and the federal court system have issued nationwide alerts on their web sites, warning consumers about the fraud.

404. That's An Error - How To Fix This

Go to Internet Explorer browser, click TOOLS then INTERNET OPTIONS. Then click CONNECTIONS then LAN SETTINGS. Uncheck everything except AUTOMATICALLY DETECT SETTINGS. I hope this helps for it worked for me.

Typhoon Sendong Dramatic Rescue of Survivors

Here's a dramatic actual video during the rescue of flash flood survivors. They were rescued by M/V YANG A, chartered by HOLCIM CEMENT. There were 8 of them (3 adults and 5 children including 2 yrs.old daughter. They were washed away at least 12 km. from the nearest land of ILIGAN. Thank God for sparing their lives. God help them recover from this traumatic experience and accept those lost souls in His kingdom. May He also heals those aching heart of the survivors whose loved ones have died and still missing!

A Time Of Giving And Sharing

I am devastated of what happened to CDO and Iligan City. Of all places in the world,why this had to happen in these two cities where they were badly hit by typhoon Sendong. The pictures and videos shared on Facebook is so heartbreaking! I can't help but felt pity to those who died and lost their loved ones. It's just too painful to see.

Christmas is just around the corner, isn't the real meaning of Christmas is giving and sharing? It's the perfect time to show our compassion to fellow Filipinos! April Fool's Day History

Why do we celebrate April Fool's Day? What do people most likely to do during this day? To give you a better understanding as to why this is, I did a search for its history on the internet and here it is that explains why and when it was started.

Unlike most of the other nonfoolish holidays, the history of April Fool's Day, sometimes called All Fool's Day, is not totally clear. It is not like Halloween, where despite an interesting history, most people just put on Halloween costumes, get candy, and leave it at that. There really wasn't a "first April Fool's Day" that can be pinpointed on the calendar. Some believe it sort of evolved simultaneously in several cultures at the same time, from celebrations involving the first day of spring.

The closest point in time that can be identified as the beginning of this tradition was in 1582, in France. Prior to that year, the new year was celebrated for eight days, beginning on March 25. The celebration culminated on April 1. With the reform of the calendar under Charles IX, the Gregorian Calendar was introduced, and New Year's Day was moved to January 1.

High Blood Pressure

There are many high blood pressure causes, many of the causes are obesity, lack of activities, stress and foods high in fat and salt. Once a person has a high blood pressure or hypertension, he will always have it and it will never disappear although it is manageable if one would do proper diet, try to exercise or take the right medication and also try to avoid those foods that could trigger high blood pressure.

Both of my parents have this disease and I hope I will not get it for I know it can be troubling to the family. They know they have high blood pressure but they keep eating foods that aren't good for them just like mother, she is so hard headed and always tempted eating dried fish and continue using MSG. If ony she could read the medical information about high blood pressure then maybe she'll believe what I have been saying to her. High blood pressure has been around our family for generations. My grandfather, my father's father died a long time ago due to high blood pressure also. Some relatives I know have died for the same reason and how many relatives who have rested in peace because of this disease, that I don't know.

So for me, while I don't have it yet, it is better to take care of my health and as much as possible I would avoid doing things or eating foods that could trigger high blood pressure because once you have it, it will always be there and it will never disappear.

Rich Cronin of LFO Died

It's so shocking to know that one of my favorite boy band members of LFO before Rich Cronin died of leukemia at age 35. So young, so soon to die! Anyone out there who is familiar of LFO boy band? I used to watch these guys on Mtv before..a lot..as in a lot..every time I come home from school in the afternoon I hurriedly turn on our t.v hoping I could see music videos from these guys.

I idolized them because I thought they were so cool, so good looking and very good singers! Now saying a prayer for you my idol! May you rest in peace and God open up the doors of heaven for you! Goodbye!

Rich Cronin of '90s boy band LFO died on Wednesday at age 35, CNN confirms. He passed away in a Massachusetts hospital, according to bandmate Brad Fischetti. Cronin, who wrote and sang the number one smash "Summer Girls," was diagnosed with leukemia in 2005; despite chemotherapy, the disease returned in 2007 and 2008.

It's scary to know that we could potentially be among those victims of salmonella in eggs if we are not very careful of the eggs we bought. I just checked carefully whether the eggs in our refrigerator is contaminated with salmonella to ensure safety to my family and thankfully they are not on the listed plants I have read on yahoo. I have checked mine, have you?

A massive egg recall by Write County Egg has sickened hundreds of people, and affected 13 retail brands that the egg factory packages. The culprit: Salmonella on egg shells.

The egg brands affected by the recall include: Lucerne, Albertson, Mountain Dairy, Ralph’s, Boomsma’s, Sunshine, Hillandale, Trafficanda, Farm Fresh, Shoreland, Lund, Dutch Farms, and Kemps.

Eggs are packed in 6- 12- or 18-egg cartons with Julian dates ranging from 136 to 225 and plant numbers 1026, 1413, and 1946. More added brands are these below I clipped from other news article.

Few days after the said egg recall list issues, the Hillandale Farms of Iowa, Inc. became the second large egg producer to issue a voluntary recall for this month. Several Egg Recall Brands are now included in the list of egg recalled and these include: Wholesome Farms, Hillandale Farms, Sunny Meadow, Sunny Farms, and West Creek.
