I Feel Bad

I feel bad for my husband was late at his off-duty job at the bank. I was at the store, taking my time and not thinking that he had to leave in the house at 12:30. I got home at 12:46. While at CVS, I was really taking my time going back and forth aisle after aisle, looking at my coupons, thinking a lot on what sort of deals should I avail. I ended up spending a good two hours in that store alone plus the time it took me to drive back home. Poor husband, he was late.

He called me twice on the phone and texted once. I didn't see all of them until I got home. I feel really guilty now. He told me last night that he has a bank duty today but I didn't think he would go because he feels sick, yet he went. That completely forgotten in my mind while I did my couponing. I am just gonna make up for him this weekend...

Recipe to Make Your Own Jewelry Cleaner

I saw this earlier shared in one of my friends' wall and it has a message on it to share so here I am, sharing it here too. Picture used below is not mine, I snagged it on Facebook and I don't own it. Snagged it from Karyn Lynnette Olson on Face Book.

1 tablespoon salt
1 tablespoon baking soda
1 tablespoon dish detergent
1 cup water
1 piece aluminum foil

Directions:
1. Heat water in the microwave for 1 or 2 minutes.
2. Cut a piece of aluminum foil that roughly covers the bottom of a small bowl (like a cereal bowl).
3. Pour hot water into bowl. Place salt, soda, and dish-washing liquid into bowl. Place jewelry on top of foil and let it sit for 5 to 10 minutes. Rinse jewelry in cool water and dry jewelry completely with soft cloth. Discard solution after use and make a new batch next time.
4. According to wire-sculpture.com, "this works well for gold-filled, brass, German (nickel) silver, and sterling silver. I have even cleaned jewelry with freshwater pearls, shell cameos and mother of pearl with no problem.".

Broken Ice Sheets

This is by far the coldest winter I have experienced of my over seven years here in Texas. Amazingly thick sheets of ice last for a week now and there is no sign of them thawing. Yeah, they may have thawed a little bit but they keep refreezing at night and into early dawn.

I have seen amazing videos of fallen ice from the buildings' roof and yesterday, my husband witnessed the event in his very own back porch. Photo above I just took minutes ago, proof that global warming isn't true. If it is, why all these ice around us?

For Us Women!

You have nothing to lose if you read it, you will gain some information instead. I snagged this from Facebook and thought of sharing it here for women who come visit in this blog. Just an FYI, ladies!

56 girls died because of using whisper, stayfree, etc. One Single pad for the whole day because of the chemical used in Ultra Napkins. Which converts liquid into gel. It causes cancer in bladder & uterus. So please try to use cotton made pads and if you are using ultra pads, Please change that with in 5 hours, per day, at least. If the time is prolonged the blood becomes green & the fungus formed gets inside the uterus & body. Please don't feel shy to fwd this message to all girls and even boys so that they can share with their wives n friends, whom they care for. This is a public service message...........

I am Feeling Miserable

Sickness started last Friday morning with my first born. When she woke up in the morning she complained about being sick and didn't want to go to school but I insisted that she should go, no reason for her to be absent. But then when she came home in the afternoon on that same day, she was shivering and complaining that she is very cold even though she has her hat, coat and gloves on.

My husband said that we should listen to our child more next time because she truly was sick until now. She sneezed a lot and was running a fever. Thankfully, she is done with fever though the cough still lingers. I, on the other hand caught her virus. I have a fever, feeling body aches and pains and hoarse throat. I don't want to be sick, I hate the feeling of being sick. Besides, I have two kids to take care of and yes, even if I am sick I still can't get my day off.

I feel so miserable right now! Good thing I don't have to go out and there is no school for the whole week due to Thanksgiving! It is also very nasty outside, raining, wet and oh so bitter cold. Better stay in if I don't have business outside.

Social Share Buttons are Up, Finally!

I spent almost an hour trying to install the social share buttons for this blog. A few of my fellow hoppers complained about not seeing my share buttons below my blog post yesterday so I had to fix it... and just when I thought I had fixed it, I joined the social share thread on FB and then I hear the same complain again this morning. Could it be that they use a different browser than mine? I use Google Chrome as always but there seemed to be no problem on my end.

Anyway, to end the misery of not seeing my share buttons, I had to look for another code or site that offers easy instruction for installation. At last! Found it and didn't take me long to install the said buttons. Earlier, I almost lost my patience because the more I screw the HTML code of this blog, the more I messed up. Good thing my baby here is doing her thing and didn't bother me much.

I believe I have installed the necessary buttons correctly so it is good to go....

Organic Eating and Becoming a Carton Smart

This post brought to you by Carton Smart. All opinions are 100% mine.

If you are a mommy and have been buying organic products especially produce, well, congratulations to that for you are taking steps towards healthy you and your family. It would also be a big bonus if what you are buying for your pantry are packed in tetra pak. Buying items in tetra pak may meant nothing to you but it actually has a great impact when it comes to your helping your environment. You can Become Carton Smart by continuing what you are doing, buying products in carton packages.

Examples of this are the products I received from Pacific Foods.  Their Tetra Pak carton packages are designed efficiency and environmental friendliness which takes my smaller steps towards living smarter. Talking of which, I plan of making a pumpkin recipe this coming Thanksgiving by using one of the products they sent us, the Pacific foods pumpkin puree. I haven't tried it before but I am more than willing to take a first taste of it.

I love the thought of having to try organic products in tetra paks. Aside from it being organic, free of pesticides and other harmful chemicals, tetra paks are easy to open and store. They are neat, stackable and space savers. Tetra Pak cartons are made of 70% paper, a renewable resource from selectively harvested, regrown trees that are FSC- certified.

With major holidays coming, we sure are shopping for ingredients for our holiday meals. And with that we should see to it that they are packed in cartons. That way, we are taking small steps toward a smart living.

How about you dear readers, how can you be #CartonSmart starting tomorrow and for the rest of your days? You may follow Tweet @CartonSmart for tips and learn from there so you will become one, too. You can also Follow #CartonSmart on Pinterest. Thank you!

Why Tetra Pak Cartons are Pantry Stables

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Carton Smart. All opinions are 100% mine.

I recently received free organic products from Pacific company. I can't be more happier after getting them in the mail because aside from them being organic, they are also in tetra pak cartons. I know I can use a lot of chicken stock and being able to try this Pacific unsalted simply stock is such an opportunity to be thankful for.

Using organic products is one way towards healthy eating and encouraging my family to live a healthy life without putting all those harmful chemicals that are mixed in the food we eat everyday. Aside from that, the fact that tetra pak cartons are easy to store in the pantry that saves me some space for other stuff, easy to use, I don't need a can opener to use it and they are stackable!

I can very well use them on special occasions and as for the  chicken stock, it can be used for my wanton soup. It has been raining here for two days now and it's cold so a good warm soup helps me to warm up a bit.

You too can Become Carton Smart by buying items in tetra paks. Learn how and reading new tips  by following any of their social media; Tweet @CartonSmart or Follow #CartonSmart on Pinterest click on the infographic below.

I Wish I Can Volunteer

I recently joined a forum called "neighborhood" exclusively to connect, get to know our neighbors, do stuff and others. I find it very interesting and helpful for they got everything there including announcements of the latest activities one can participate for the betterment of his community.

One they posted that I am so interested to join is the litter clean up coming two weeks from now. I so want to participate but knowing I got two children, house chores and other motherly obligations is keeping me from doing it. At least by joining the team, I can be of use of the community I belong. Maybe someday I will be able to do what I wanted to do with no excuses. For now, I can exempt myself for it for I have a valid excuse.

GoodNites Against Bedwetting

This post brought to you by GoodNites. All opinions are 100% mine.

Bedwetting is common for children who are as young as two up to probably 8 years old. I am pretty sure I am not the only mother who has to deal with bedwetting. Imagine the hassle it cause to both the mother and the child. Not only it is a big job to clean up the sheets but also the stink of the urine once it soaked to the mattress is just horrible. As for children, bedwetting can cause them to be embarassed for we know pretty sure that they didn't mean to do it, it was just an accident. Alright, we get it but that doesn't mean we are okay with it.

A simple solution to it is to use mattress pad and or use a good quality and discreet underwear to avoid this dilemma. GoodNites is the answer. My toddler is on her fourth night of using this underwear and it somehow eases my mind knowing that what she is wearing can really keep her from leaking in the bed, is comfortable and most of all has nice girl design. She got a tinkerbell design which is her favorite character.

Whenever it is bed time and I change her diaper, I tell her come baby, let's put on your pretty tinkerbell diaper and she would come to me right up with no questions ask because she really loves it.  If the baby is happy, then mommy is happy too.

For those who haven't tried GoodNites, now is the time so you don't have to think about bedwetting anymore. If you are on Facebook a lot just like me, you may follow them on their GoodNites Facebook page.

Something You Need to Know About Egg White for Burns

This information has been shared on Facebook and it's too good to miss and not share my visitors on this blog. Please read it for your own good so you'll know what to do when someone you see in your family or complete strangers get a severe burn.

A young man sprinkling his lawn and bushes with pesticides wanted to check the contents of the barrel to see how much pesticide remained in it. He raised the cover and lit his lighter; the vapors ignited and engulfed him He jumped from his truck, screaming.

His neighbor came out of her house with a dozen eggs and a bowl yelling: "bring me some more eggs!"

She broke them, separating the whites from the yolks.
The neighbor woman helped her to apply the whites onto the young man's face.

When the ambulance arrived and the EMTs saw the young man, they asked who had done this. Everyone pointed to the lady in charge.

They congratulated her and said: "You have saved his face."

By the end of the summer, the young man brought the lady a bouquet of roses to thank her. His face was like a baby's skin.
A Healing Miracle for Burns:

Keep in mind this treatment of burns is being included in teaching beginner fireman. First Aid consists of first spraying cold water on the affected area until the heat is reduced which stops the continued burning of all layers of the skin. Then, spread the egg whites onto the affected area.

One woman burned a large part of her hand with boiling water. In spite of the pain, she ran cold faucet water on her hand, separated 2 egg whites from the yolks, beat them slightly and dipped her hand in the solution. The whites then dried and formed a protective layer.

She later learned that the egg white is a natural collagen and continued during at least one hour to apply layer upon layer of beaten egg white. By afternoon she no longer felt any pain and the next day there was hardly a trace of the burn. 10 days later, no trace was left at all and her skin had regained its normal color. The burned area was totally regenerated thanks to the collagen in the egg whites, a placenta full of vitamins.

White Cloud Luxuriously Soft Super Premium Quality Bath Tissue

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of White Cloud. All opinions are 100% mine.

For a while now we have been using Charmin ultra strong tissue paper and it is hard for my husband to use other brands  than Charmin because he is looking for quality, not the price. I bought Scott ultra soft brand and I think he doesn't like it. And then we received White Cloud in the mail and I have tried it. Honestly, I am loving it and I believe the husband would be glad to give it a try for it has super-premium quality that he wants in a tissue paper.

And since White Cloud has a strong 2-ply each roll, I can definitely use less paper each time. Not only that, it is cheaper than the brand we have been using yet it doesn't have the feel of a cheap quality bath paper or tissue. And to know that is available exclusively at Walmart, I can just stock up some tissue paper without spending too much money on it since they do offer coupons that I can use.

If you are willing to try it, please do so. Find White Cloud products near you and enjoy the softness it offers. Also if you are on Facebook a lot, you can Like White Cloud on Facebook for latest news and product information. Also you can Follow White Cloud on Twitter. Click on this link here for a $1.00 off coupon. Thank you!
