Three of my friends that are in my Facebook list are pregnant with baby boys! How awesome. Three of them are first time mommy-to-be. I plan of sending one of them some new baby boys clothes as a gift. I know it feels so good when you have somebody actually thinking about your unborn child. I have been so blessed with good friends around giving me plenty of baby girl outfits during my baby shower so this being said, I would like to return the favor, the kindness and thoughtfulness they've showed me when I was still pregnant with my two girls.

Cute baby boys clothes can be bought anywhere or online. It shouldn't be hard on me to pick which one to send. If I were to give clothing, I want it 3 sizes up than the actual age of the baby because you know babies grow like weeds. They outgrow their clothes so fast. Before you know it, some of the new outfits given to you for newborn won't fit anymore when they reach 3 months old.

As human beings, we all make mistakes. We are not perfect for it is making mistakes we learn and it is up to us to correct them or keep doing wrong things while we know they aren't right. I remember I had this very timid, shy and loved to be alone classmate of mine in high school. He was a silent type of student yet smart. After graduating high school and parted ways with my classmates I didn't hear anything any of them until Facebook bound us together again and reconnected me with them. Ten years since our last day in high school I heard from this boy again. He was no longer a boy I used to know for he had grown into a young successful man working in IT related job in New Zealand. And to top of it all, he is now a father and I guess living permanently in NZ. How nice of him to be able to improve his life and has a big time and permanent job!

While those braggart and often noisy, loud mouth classmates we had are still living in the same place they grew up, meaning their lives have not improved a thing except of course they work at local lending company or at an industry that recruits high school graduate only. I heard some were trying to work for IT jobs in Australia and applied at an IT recruitment agency hoping they could get out of the country for a greener pasture. I wish them luck and I hope they will be as lucky as the timid boy who is now successful in his IT career.

Wow cheers to my baby girl for she finally rolled over at 5 months and 2 weeks old. She did it 2 nights ago while at her dada's study room last January 12,2012. Way to go baby girl!! Not long from now she'll be crawling and will be all over the place. We do have a dog that is mixed Chihuahua, part Pekinese and Duchsund. She is a small dog yet very active but despite of her being so naughty and playful, we all love her especially my husband. He treats the dog as one of her daughters and this dog of ours feels like she is human, she is a child and she feels that she is well-loved by her family.

We have had this dog for 4 years now. Looking at her baby and old pictures, I can tell she has grown a lot since she came to join our family 4 years ago. Chihuahuas are usually very active and since she is part Chihuahua she just can't sit and relax especially when there are people in the house. We believed that she is going to calm down when she gets old but we don't see that happening. Another irritating habit she does is that she barks a lot in the house whenever there are people walking outside or somebody knocking on our door.

However, this dog of ours is so precious! She became Jadyn's bestfriend. I tell you they are like sisters too, they play together, run together and most of all lick each other's mouth lol. Chicha is her name, she is one healthy dog but I cannot be sure if she is totally clean eventhough she is an inside dog for when she goes outside who knows what she eats out there?

We keep our dog happy and healthy by bringing her to a veterinarian once in a while. Oh by the way, she is due with her vaccine soon and for that this is going to be another over a hundred dollar bill once she gets out of the veterinary clinic. It truly is expensive having a pet but with Frontline Plus for dogs, hopefully it helps us ease the burden of high bills. I will tell my husband about this so he can register our dog to this program.

There were a few times last year we were shocked at how surprising our water bills were. I think last Summer was the hottest and the longest drought we have experienced here in North Texas forcing several cities to restrict people from watering their yard twice a week. Even here in Edgecliff Village, we were under restriction number two due to long drought. Poor were the plants in my garden and our yard just looked so brown and horrible. No matter how we wanted to water them as often as we could but we just can't do that.

I hope this year it won't be too bad as last year's and it would be a good idea to stock up rain barrels in preparation for summer so we will have enough supply of water for our garden and our yard. For sure rain water barrels aren't so expensive so we should find no excuse not to buy rain barrels for sale because this will save us some money on our water bill.

Hard To Breathe

Picture on the left is of my baby covering her face while fast asleep. It can be very dangerous and suffocate her if I didn't see her doing this. She was in deep sleep that she wasn't moving at all.

This blanket as I remember was wrapped from her waist down to keep her warm but she moved too much that it covered her whole face. Now I have to watch her carefully and check on her from time to time when she's in the crib to avoid this from happening again.

One of my favorite times of the year is Halloween. I've always loved scary movies and haunted houses, so it's like this season was made especially for me! I think that my kids are the same way because they see how enthusiastic I get about the season.

I asked them a few weeks ago what they wanted to be for Halloween. My daughter told me that she wanted to be a mummy, so I used our wireless internet Pittsburgh to look online for some good costume designs to use to make her costume. I did find several things and decided to base her version off of all the ones that I found.

I thought that it would be cute to make her a little mummy dress and leggings instead of pants and a shirt. So I'm working on sewing all of the torn strips onto her leggings and dress for it. She's pretty girly, so I thought that this would be a great way to reconcile that for this costume. Plus, it's so much cuter than the regular versions!

Baby #2 And Grandma Jean's 1st Meeting

The whole family visited Jean, my FIL's girlfriend in San Antonio last Monday until Wednesday of this week. We are glad we got to see her once again after 8 months. It was baby M and Jean's first meeting together, and guess what? It made her Christmas! She was just so happy to have us in her place. She is like a family to us and us to her. Imagine she hasn't seen nor visited by her own sons in 30 years!

When we bade goodbye to her after the third day, we got her teary-eyed. Poor old woman, she had nobody, not a single blood family visited her on Christmas...nobody but US!

When I was still in the Philippines I didn't know anything about home insurance. It seems like nobody would care to buy a home insurance for their house except of course those who are rich and have huge house and have a lot to lose when a natural calamity or fire occur.

When I got here in the U.S I understood how important it is to have a home insurance for houses here are so expensive, it is the biggest or most expensive investment a person can have so it is just right to have your home insured for in case of damage or fire or whatever circumstance that you need insurance to pay for it, you can have something to use or a company to turn to.

Making Sugar Cookies

I had a great time making sugar cookies for the first time in my life. I thought it was going to be another failed try doing something pertaining to baking. My girl was with me the entire time I did my cookies. She helped me cut the dough into different shapes and bake it. After the cookies are done, we both enjoyed decorating it. Not only I taught her about shapes and colors but also I got to spend time with her in the kitchen, it was indeed a mother and daughter bonding moment together while the husband was looking after the baby.

Ready For School

Last night we talked about sending our first born to school next school year. I don't like the idea my child going to school because that only means she is no longer a baby. There is nothing I can do but send her to school for her to learn and be able to socialize with other kids. When Jadyn heard about school she got so excited for she can ride a school bus that will bring her to school. And then when in school, she will see lots of kids and a teacher.

As the conversation went on, she then asked me, mommy am I going to have my own locker? I said what? I was very surprised upon hearing her question for how did she know anything about lockers? I asked her where she learned about it and she said, on t.v. She even said, there are big and small lockers, big lockers are for big people and small lockers are for kids! What a smart girl she is. I also told her that yes you right and teachers have their office lockers too! Then she was all happy as the we ended the conversation.

Filipino-American Christmas Parties

I thought my Christmas was gonna be boring for we usually have Christmas in the USA with our family alone. Although there were some invitations from the past but the location itself is quite far from the house so I wasn't willing to have my husband drive us back and forth only to be at the party. Two Christmas parties I attended just this month and each party was a blast. The first party was in Watauga and we had an exchange gift. I am happy with what I got because it is exactly what I've been thinking to buy for our kitchen.

Lost In The Dark

I had such a blast during the Filipino-American Christmas party two night ago. It was one of the times that I stayed longer at a party for the venue was just three blocks away from our house. If it was a lot farther away, I could only stay at least four hours because usually my friends hold an event at their place on Sundays. But since I don't drive it is always my husband that drops and picks us off and he has to work Monday so we need to come home early.

Anyhow, I am glad my Filipina neighbor decided to invite me for a Christmas party! I brought with me my two kids, Megan the infant wasn't able to take a nap the whole time we were there because she is not used to being in a large crowd plus we had karaoke and it was loud and noisy. I didn't expect my little one to sleep at all. A friend of mine volunteered to drop Megan home and just come back for some fun, she has a brilliant idea and went home and put the baby to sleep.

It was dark, raining and very cold yet we head back to the party. Even just it is three blocks away we somehow got lost in our very own neighborhood, funny! I must admit, it is hard to locate a house in newer neighborhood today since most of the houses just look all similar plus they do have very small house number in them. If only all houses would choose to have personalized address plaques or do

custom address plaques of their choosing, it would be easy to locate a specific in that neighborhood. There is a company that sells residential address plaques for people. It would be nice if home owners decide to have one so people won't get lost in the dark trying to find their house or address.

It's wintertime and in the weather forecast, there might be some snow today. Great! Looks like we are having a white Christmas this year which is another blessing to be thankful for. Haha funny how I view snow to be a blessing. I should because I love it and here in Texas we can only have snow once or twice a year. I am so ready for snow for I have my boots ready, they are similar to Miz Mooz Bloom but they are not of the same brand.

I love the how the snow can turn the world into when it falls onto the ground. The surroundings will become white as if it is so pure and free from sin. Snow is fun to play with too especially with small kids around. But of course, when there is snow, the temperature can drop low as well so before heading outside, bundle up and wear the right outfit for snow.

Typhoon Sendong Dramatic Rescue of Survivors

Here's a dramatic actual video during the rescue of flash flood survivors. They were rescued by M/V YANG A, chartered by HOLCIM CEMENT. There were 8 of them (3 adults and 5 children including 2 yrs.old daughter. They were washed away at least 12 km. from the nearest land of ILIGAN. Thank God for sparing their lives. God help them recover from this traumatic experience and accept those lost souls in His kingdom. May He also heals those aching heart of the survivors whose loved ones have died and still missing!

Backyard Project To Be Continued

Our yard is a mess right now. The fencing company we hired to do the fence as well as putting a concrete in the backyard is putting off their job until after New Year. The reason why it's because the building permit that my husband applied was denied by the city. For some reason, in order to replace your old fence you got to apply for a permit for that. Much worse, there is a building restriction in this area so residents are not allowed to put up a car port visible to the street. But my husband isn't just wanting a cheap car port, he wants a workshop, a better building an owner can be proud to have in the backyard yet he is still denied with that.

It would be a dream come true for him if one day he will be able to have a place to park his cars under the roof and be able to work on stuff comfortably. And for me, it would be a dream come true if I can do something so beautiful with our backyard garden. Put an arbor maybe? These things are commonly seen at the park, public garden etc where people can take photographs in garden arbors or wooden arbors.

I know it may look ridiculous having an arbor in the backyard but aren't arbors look great wherever they are placed? We shall see if the husband would approve of my idea having an arbor in the backyard and make it a mini flower garden out there.

Carpet Cleaning Austin

My mission before this year ends, I would love to do a thorough cleaning of the house. I want to clean the carpet and all three ceiling fans as well as we greet the New Year. I will try my best to get all these things done, really! I know I have been saying this for so long yet nothing has done just because I have so many things to do around the house yet I have so little time to do it all at once, plus I do have kids. Not to mention, it gets very dark here now at 5:00 in the afternoon.

Anyway, cleaning each respective house seems to be the subject of every woman on Facebook. We do have the same goal before the year ends. I guess most of you know about the devastation of typhoon Sendong in Cagayan De Oro and Iligan Cities, right? pictures and videos of the worst hit cities were flooding on all social networking sites so I believe most if not all have seen it no matter where they are in the world. Those properties were washed out as well as their houses for sure are not insured.

In times of calamity devastation, who we should turn to in order to rebuild our home if we don't have home insurance? So poor are the Filipino victims who have lost everything! While some people outside the Philippines are having a good time shopping and eating good foods, think back of the fellow Filipinos who have nothing, they are people who rely on donations right now.

I am devastated of what happened to CDO and Iligan City. Of all places in the world,why this had to happen in these two cities where they were badly hit by typhoon Sendong. The pictures and videos shared on Facebook is so heartbreaking! I can't help but felt pity to those who died and lost their loved ones. It's just too painful to see.

Christmas is just around the corner, isn't the real meaning of Christmas is giving and sharing? It's the perfect time to show our compassion to fellow Filipinos! I once told by a friend years back that it is important to build my own credit score because someday I may need it. Although my husband has a good credit score, she told me that it cannot be transferred to my name so I have to build my own. Five years later I still haven't done anything about it. Sigh!

Backyard Looks Great

I went to a Filipino Christmas party yesterday and I had a lot of fun especially my first born. As usual my husband dropped us off and came back a few hours later to pick us up again. I expected my husband to not stay. Instead he went home and worked in his front and backyard. When I came home from the party, it was dark and I didn't see any job he had done to it but he told me backyard looks great.

When I woke up this morning and looked outside and yes, he was right! Our backyard looks neat and clean now for he mowed it good and put all the pots on the concrete. Anyhow, it would even look good if we had a nice outdoor bamboo furniture and artificial rocks to compliment with the bamboo furniture.

When it is not very cold, we love to just hangout in the back porch with our outdoor fireplace. The husband loves it out there to sit down and have his quiet moment drinking beer right after work.

I think I have completed my shopping for the two little kids I have. They already have their new beautiful Christmas dresses, toys are done although there are still two coming on the way need to be wrapped. I am waiting few packages to arrive in the mail today and maybe in the next two days. I expected for the toys I ordered online to be here anytime today and a package from a friend for my little girls. The Beauty Of Fall

This is what I love most around this time of the year because this is when our surroundings turn very colorful and lovely. There is no need to go someplace just to see beautiful scenery. In this neighborhood alone, you can take pretty good photos of the colorful leaves of trees by the pond. It is just so close to our home that I find it easy to get there with my kids on foot.

It is just a small pond with in this village yet there plenty of things to look at, colorful trees, lots of floating ducks on the water and some big birds on the tree. We can also feed the ducks and turtles if we want to, we only need to bring some dry dog food or bird seeds and voila! My kids will have their happy times at the pond. Photos were taken by me personally on December 9,2011.

Gives Beauty To The Window

I am a woman who loves flowers and plants. In fact, I have my own backyard garden, two big round plant beds in our front yard and a few potted plants. I admired how beautiful the plants and flowers are when in bloom that is why I had to make my own plant beds where I can grow different flowering plants in Spring.

Since we are getting into Winter season, my poor plants died and all turned brown and really dead except for the knockout roses! I love them, they are not affected by freezing temperature instead they still give me pretty blooms. Next year I will try to put more plants in my beds to close the gap of each stems of my plants and make it more beautiful.

Another thing I want to do is put window box planters on the East part of the house where it looks so boring there since my husband doesn't want anything planted on the ground on that side there. Now that I found a way on how to give our windows looking great from the street, might as well start looking around for window flower boxes or window plant boxes and see if I can find the right size, color and style I want online.

I did everything I can so Jadyn can eat something heavy for breakfast but I guess Filipino dish for first meal of the day isn't what her taste buds like. I am glad I found a way to keep my little Pearl from waking up too soon. Since we are getting into low 40's temperature sometimes, being warm and comfortable in bed is so important for her. What I do is bring her in our bed, cover her with the sheet and quilt plus a heavy pillow in her legs to keep her from moving too much.

She could sleep up to three hours this way that if big sister won't bother her or make noises. Ah it is so nice to be a baby and have a nice big warm bed to snuggle in.

I love the idea I have a baby to kiss and smell her scent while she is still young. Unfortunately though my little Pearl is no longer a newborn yet she still have that babyish scent that I so love about her. Having a baby around just makes me appreciate life. What a big mess my 4-month old baby did this morning. Such a big disaster she created for a small baby like her, I trusted her pooping on my lap with diaper on but when I unbutton her sleeper she was just full of poop which I did not expect. I even asked Jadyn to help me hold her hands down because she moves a lot and squirmy, I had a hard time controlling both her arms and feet not to touch on the soiled part of her clothes. She was so messy that I had to bathed her afterwards, the smell was just awful! But, it was good for her. It was equivalent of two days not pooping, she must have felt relieved after that big disaster she had done.

A Normal Conversation With My Father

I must have been missing my father so much that even if I'm half asleep I still dream of him. I dreamed of my father this morning at 8:45. Before that, I have gotten up a few times already to attend my baby yet when I chose to go back to bed, I dreamed of him having just a normal conversation. We talked as if he wasn't dead or deep inside I knew he passed away but in my dream he was so alive.

I told him everything I wasn't able to tell him when he was still with us and if you guessed, we were happy just to be together in our normal self. I even told him, "Pa ayaw lang intawn pagmulto Pa ha kay mahadlok jud baya ko pa!". And he nodded smiling.

The last part of my dream was we shared a meal together with the whole family and some of my aunties (his sisters) and my grandmother. I told to my father, "kabalo ka Pa, naa pa baya jud ang tabliya didto sa Amerika nga imong gi himo sauna para naku nya wala pa naku jud hutda ug inom kay hadlok ko mahurot." Hohohoho!

I thank him for visiting me in my dreams. Because it eases my longing for him. That is one of the things I asked during his funeral that he would return the favor to me now that he's gone. That only favor is for him to appear in my dreams sometimes so that I can still see him and he did it! Three times already he visited me since his passing. When he was alive I would call him/family once a month and every time I do that, that would definitely brought joy to his heart I am certain of that because of his big laughter and he told me he was happy for I called. Calling him on the phone was his favor he asked from me.

I have been to places I never thought I could see in my entire life. I have been to a few places in Texas as well that require little to no money in order to get in. However, there are still historical and or quite interesting places I haven't gone. One for example is the famous Indoor Water Parks in Texas which they call the Greatwolf Lodge in Grapevine Texas and the Gaylord Texan which is famous in Christmas for their ice sculpture. Greatwolf Lodge is such a perfect fun-filled excitement getaway for the whole family because of their indoor rides and water parks.

I guess I just have to do a little convincing to the husband so that next year we all can go there for our two Princesses to enjoy. Besides, it is a family-friendly lodge so everybody I believe would have the best time of their lives. It is great to be there when it is very hot outside during the peak of Summer and to just have a night or two getaway not so far from home in order to experience a different ambiance during hot summer nights. Gotta save some money for that and looking forward to making this dream a reality hopefully next year!

I love how Seoul International Airport maintained their vicinity. Aside from the fact that it is huge, it is also very clean and entertaining for travelers who have long waits for their next flight. I always loved it whenever I travel going to the Philippines and have a stopover in South Korea for you will never be bored at the airport.

They have several stores inside which for me is pretty much like a mall, a free wifi connection for those who have their laptops or if they don't, travelers can just go to their wifi zone and have a free use of their computers. And as for the kids? Wow they got the best play area they can ever be. Photos below are proof how clean and nice the area is. You cannot even tell it's in the airport.

Unlike the Philippines, they collect a freaking and choking travel tax every time you leave their airport yet you won't see any progress there. The airport is small and kind of dirty. They don't even have a toilet paper in some toilets ewwwwww! It's sad to know I am not praising my own country but IT'S THE FACT!

He Must Have Been Bored

What my husband have been doing for the whole two weeks I was gone to the Philippines that occupied him besides taking care of the baby was watching a movie at broad daylight! That is not something he normally does but with wife and first child being away, what else could he do? I was kind of laughing at him when I learned that.

When I arrived here a week ago, I saw there was a thick ugly cloth hanging in our window by the t.v room and I asked him what was that cloth doing there? He said that sometimes he needed to watch a movie during the day! I was like, what? He couldn't look for a decent thicker or darker cloth in the linen cabinet instead he just grabbed that old ugly cloth that we use to cover the unused chairs.

Him doing that, I am thinking of shopping for draperies, a dark-colored one to replace the one we hang in our window near the t.v because when we watch t.v, the glare of the sun gets through the window and reflects to the t.v which makes it very bright for us. No wonder the husband hanged this ugly cloth because that is the only way he can prevent the glare from getting through.

We have at least 3 big spaces occupied by stuff that haven't gotten around. I want to have a room for my bow making, a place I can relax at the same time do my most favorite thing. Been sleeping like a baby especially during the night although I wake up occasionally to attend the baby yet I am still very tired. I wished I could stay longer than 12 hours in bed to make up the lost sleep I have had while in the Philippines.

We will have a group of people coming over tomorrow morning and I am wondering how am I going to wake up as early as 8 or 9? I don't want them knocking on our door that early but they need to come here and do our kitchen. Today I am hoping to get a short nap at least so I won't be too late getting up tomorrow. Geezzz that seems so impossible, I mean taking a nap today because I still have so many things need to finish today. One example is emptying all our kitchen cabinets getting them ready for tomorrow's activity. Soon we will have our new remodeled kitchen and I tell you IT WILL BE BEAUTIFUL!

As you may not know it, we just came back from our two-week stay from the Philippines for my father's funeral. We are now back to reality where nobody here that my Jadyn to play with. No one's around I can ask help with when I need something because there are just 4 of us in this house.

By the way, this picture is of my big Princess with her friends in Cebu. This was taken when we just arrived from our long trip from Texas to Cebu last October 20th. They are our neighbor's kids and I am glad Jadyn gets along with them even though two of these kids aren't speaking in English.

Family is the basic unit of the society. It is in our family that we find love, comfort, affection, respect and most of all we all need family in order to feel secure and to feel that sense of belongingness. If we don't have a family then we are worthless.

I like the the video I just seen called Stand Up For Family. It is actually a family comedy show that teaches the great values of family having parents around teaching their kids to be respectful, being passionate and others. Of course this great show is brought to us by American Family Insurance or what they call AmFam to be short.

Growing up with my complete set of parents with us made our life so much easier even though we were poor. Our father worked hard to provide for the family and I so appreciate that. My mother was a full-time homemaker. She took care all her seven children and that is the most wonderful thing she ever did to us.

I just lost a great father. In fact, I just got back from a two-week stay from the Philippines in order to attend my father's funeral. It hurts losing such a person whom I loved dearly. I cannot imagine life without a father but what can I do? The fact is, I can never see him again but can talk to him in my dreams. I miss him already!
